We enjoy eating at Itsu whenever we are in London as I’ve found it to be the place to go for shellfish allergy sufferers like me, and if you also don’t eat gluten there are many items to choose from the menu from rice bowls, to the sushi themselves. You might need to check your tolerance levels because of the presence of soy sauce. That said you can opt for meals without the soy sauce.

Try the mochi dessert for a gluten free and vegan offering. Each meal comes with an indication of the calorie count which I found helpful if you track that sort of thing.

I had a lovely lunch here and managed to find some sushi that was ok, but there was quite limited choice for someone with multiple allergies and if you had soya allergy, then most things had soya in. We had a lot of confusion communicating my soya allergy as the server wasn't hearing me, he was hearing gluten, even though I was not saying that. Everything contained soya and he was saying, yes but you have the gluten free soya. No, I have a soya allergy. We went round in circles and he did finally get it. They had a very concise allergen menu though so if you wanted to try it you are able to check what's suitable. Probably don't go here if you have a soya allergy though and you want choice of japanese food. I really enjoyed my sushi though so a successful lunch in the end. Just goes to show you need to be very clear your server has understood what you're saying as he was really pushing towards an option that was suitable as they had could do it with GF soya sauce. Coeliacs though - this would be fab for you. Lots of choice and the food did look really good if you could try it. Side now, I love the reusable metal water bottles they sell and have already used mine at ParkRun.

Not good for soya allergy but great if you are coeliac

This was a very small Itsu, if you want the full experience or are in a large group try a larger store. Great for lunch on the go though.

I had the Avo baby sushi rolls and the salmon baby rolls. Soya sauce is separate so you can have it without.
