We were very lucky to find a last minute table at the Hand and Flowers so we decided to go there with the kids. On the booking reservation I noted one child has a fish allergy and the other child a nut allergy. When we arrived, they gave the children one menu each, and on our daughter’s menu they removed the only fish dish so she could “pick” anything she wanted 💖. The other menu was completely nut free by default. The grown ups menu was on the iPad and we went for the set lunch menu they offer during the middle of the week. Throughout the meal we felt as though nobody had an allergy on the table, especially with our son’s nut allergy - they knew exactly what was in the food and they knew that everything they served us, including the desserts, was completely safe. The food was beautifully presented, absolutely delicious and definitely worthy of its 2 Michelin stars. They 100% know how to cater for people with allergies too, so they deserve 3 stars for this 😉. The service was sleek but very friendly and we felt at home. I cannot wait to return (maybe without the kids next time!).

Their normal menu is £155 per person. If you don’t fancy spending that, their mid week lunch menu offers incredible value for money.

We all went here for my friend's birthday and had such a great meal. I felt that they took my allergies seriously, understood the risks and staff were able to advise me what was safe to eat. It was a while ago that I visited so always phone ahead to chat to staff before going. It's owned by celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, and whilst some dishes on the menu do contain nuts, I felt very safe eating here.

Located in Marlow, this lovely old pub is wonderful itself but Marlow is well worth a visit for the shops and old buildings and the River Thames.
