Corcreggan is situated on the outskirts of Dunfanaghy and is well known in the area for its delicious gourmet fish and chips. It also provides Mexican dishes like tacos and quesadillas. It’s an outdoor venue only that opens from Easter to the end of September each year. It has a laid back vibe and staff are friendly. We visited twice whilst on holidays in Donegal and were very fortunate to have beautiful weather on both days. They also do takeaway. Their main menu lists allergens and their online menu also has a gluten free section. My son has a tree nut and sesame allergy. There are no nuts on the menu however, some dishes do contain sesame (e.g. hummus dip, vegan dish). The chef said that he would avoid any cross contamination with sesame for my son’s meal. The fish and chips were excellent! The main downside to Corcreggan is that it can take a very long time for food to arrive after placing an order during busy periods (we waited 45 mins on the 1st evening and an hour on the 2nd).
