The Lounges competition and our donation to charity
By Liljia Polo-Richards
Since our launch in October, we have received a number of reviews, both for independent restaurants and chains. We love receiving every single review, as it helps us build a platform that over time will help people affected by food allergies, coealiac disease and intolerances find suitable venues across the country. Imagine organising a break somewhere other than your home town… and being able to find lots of recommendations from people just like you! Wouldn’t that be a dream?
Following a number of very positive reviews for The Lounges group, we have decided to launch our December competition, and give you the chance to win one of their vouchers! We love the Lounges funky branding, cool settings, and flexible menus, so we want to give you the chance to eat at one of their locations. Their online menu allows you to filter dishes not only by allergen, but also by “may contain” (which many of us avoid!), and you also get the option to select if you are vegetarian and vegan. Amazing! You can check out some of the reviews on our website across the following locations: Cardiff (Juno and Fino Lounge), Pontypridd, Weymouth, Sutton Coldfied, Rugby and Lewes. As you can see, people with multiple and very different allergies have reviewed these venues and they all seem to agree… they are exceptional!
Our competition this month is simple – the more reviews you enter on our website, the more chances you have to win one of our prizes! First prize is £40, followed by second prize of £25 and third prize of £15. However, we felt that it wouldn’t be a real Christmas competition if we couldn’t do something even more kind and generous. For this reason, we have decided to donate £1 for every review received during the month of December to charity. The more reviews submitted, the more we will donate*. What’s not to love!
When my husband and I first decided to set up Allergy Companions, we were determined not only to create the number one review website for people with allergies in the UK and Ireland; we also wanted to contribute further to the advancement in research and cures for people suffering from food allergies. If our website was no longer needed one day because cures were found, and people with allergies could now lead an easier life, then we feel this would be an incredible achievement for the allergy world and something we would be proud to be part of.
Please help us spread the word, follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, and help us make this Christmas memorable!
