Chipotle Mexican Grill, London – “Chipotle do not use any nuts or peanuts in their food, which is absolutely fantastic if you are out and about in London.”

On their website, Chipotle state: “No matter what your unique dietary needs are, Chipotle has options for you. Unless you have an allergy to delicious food, in which case, we might have an issue.” We do not use crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, molluscs, nuts, peanuts or sesame ingredients in our food. How amazing is this statement? We love food businesses that use this kind of inclusive language!

The Proof, Dalston –“I saw The Proof recommended as being great for allergies and so I headed straight to their website, where I was so happy to see they are completely nut free! Their head baker has a nut allergy meaning they don’t handle any nuts at all, which is so refreshing for a bakery! My order came beautifully packaged with a little handwritten note which is such a nice touch and one of the reasons why I love ordering from businesses like this. They were also really responsive via messages and even checked I was okay with certain ingredients!”

Hoxton Grill, Shoreditch – “This was my first time visiting the Hoxton Grill and I was pleased to see that I couldn’t see any nuts on the menu online. When we arrived the server asked about allergies and then informed us that they are part of Soho House, which means they don’t use nuts in the kitchen. They did mention the usual cross contamination elements but I felt really reassured and safe to try the food as there weren’t any nuts on site.”

Hoxton Grill is part of the Soho House Group, who decided to ban all nuts and peanuts from their premises in 2020 as a measure to protect some of their customers affected by these allergies. More info in this article by the Daily Mail.

Niche Gluten-Free Dining, Islington – “This restaurant is completely nut free and were so well prepared for my other allergies. I went with a friend who has allergies too and we had such amazing food, I honestly couldn’t believe what I could have. They had wheat free burger and dairy free cheese with Applewood vegan cheese which I know is tasty and safe. I can never have a burger so that was really exciting for me. Also had the most amazing salted caramel dessert that was incredible! I honestly couldn’t believe it was all safe for me. Definitely going back SOOON. I loved it.”
