Nut allergy-friendly Indian restaurants that our community loves
From Glasgow to Leamington Spa, these are some of the amazing recommendations for nut free Indian restaurants across the country:
My Delhi Newcastle Indian Streetery, Newcastle – “I was so nervous as we have always been told to avoid Indian restaurants but they are very knowledgeable about allergies and reassured us no nuts are used in the kitchen at all. 5 star service”. More information can be found on their website.
The Dhabba, Glasgow – “The entire menu is nut free so having the freedom to choose anything without an ounce of doubt is amazing. The staff are very friendly and have helped me to discover new dishes. I recommend to everyone I know with an allergy.” More information can be found on their website.
The Cat’s Pyjamas, Leeds – “This is the first Indian I’ve come across that is completely nut free! I felt very comfortable here, all the allergens are marked on the menu and the servers are knowledgable. There are plenty of vegan and gluten free options as well.” More information can be found on their website.
Dhamaka Restaurant, Bristol – “I was so excited when I found this place and saw that they’re completely nut free. When we asked our waiter why, he said something along the lines of if we use nuts, people with nut allergies can’t eat here, if we don’t, then they can, so why would we use nuts. It just took so much anxiety away being served by staff who just get it.” More information can be found on their website.
Bombay Restaurant, Leamington Spa – “I popped in the other day to order some food for a takeaway and asked the owner how many dishes contain nuts in their restaurant. To my surprise, she mentioned they went nut free two years ago. She mentioned to let her know when we want to have a family meal with our children and she’ll make sure to double check everything for us.” Please note, their website needs to be updated to remove almonds from one of their dishes, as they use coconut instead. More information can be found on their website.
